Jackie Tyrrell – Kilkenny hurling legend, GAA Ambassador and Media Personality.
A very well-known and respected sports personality, Jackie is a former Kilkenny hurler who has an astonishing 9 All-Ireland medals and regarded by his peers as “the man who had everything”.
Born in Kilkenny, Ireland; Jackie was raised in a hurling household. He enjoyed a legendary senior inter-county hurling career which spanned from 2003 to 2016.
Jackie is a brand ambassador for the GAA, now working closely with Littlewoods Ireland, sponsors of the GAA until 2019, as one of the faces of their campaign.

Jackie’s first taste of ALL-Ireland success came during his time at St. Kieran’s College as he was a key member of the 2000 winning senior hurling team. He has claimed two Fitzgibbon Cup winners’ medals during his time at Limerick Institute of Technology whilst winning an All-Ireland Club Championship medal with James Stephens in 2004.
Jackie has won a remarkable 9 senior All-Ireland medals with Kilkenny and was a part of the infamous four in a row squad, captaining the side to the first whilst picking up three all-star awards along the way.
